Fr. Charles and Laurie are thrilled to give funds raised from the Christmas Show at Westbury Music Fair, 2003 to Little Flower Children's Services and The Life Center of Long Island. Each charity received $35,000.

The text is as follows: The Diocesan Office of Laity and Family welcomed 425 people to a conference March 15 at Kellenberg Memorial High School, Uniondale, for the bereaved and those ministering to them. The theme for the day came from the Old Testament: " I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will heal you." Presenters included "national known speakers from around the country and local experts on grieving," noted Elaine Stillwell, diocesan bereavement coordinator, From left to right are Ms Stillwell; Laurie Mangano and her brother, Father Charles Mangano, associate pastor of St. Patrick's Church, Bayshore, who teamed up to offer a workshop on the healing power of music; Sister of St. Joseph Lauren Hanley, director of the Office of Laity and Family; and assistant director Linda Reich. Last year the brother and sister singing team of Fr. Charles and Laurie Mangano hosted their first Christmas Concert at Westbury Music Fair. The results were spectacular, with a sold out performance featuring their latest album, "The Heart of Christmas." Long Islanders will have an opportunity this holiday season to enjoy the music of the very talented Mangano brother and sister team. Father Charles Mangano and his sister Laurie will be performing at Westbury Music Fair on Tuesday evening, December 10th, at 8PM. The popular choir, the Love Movement, will begin its 25th anniversary celebrations in fine style with a concert, A Feast of Love, featuring the vocal talents of two American singers.
